Horse Theory Course

Watch

A sneak peek at the Fun

Kids who are passionate about horses have boundless energy for talking, dreaming and obsessing about their four-hooved friends (sometimes driving everyone around them bonkers with the constant chatter and horse-talk!)

We realised, as parents and horse professionals who speak to horse-mad small humans every day, that an outlet to channel all that enthusiasm in a constructive way is such a valuable thing to have (especially in a world where we have unpredictable lockdowns and restrictions keeping kids cooped up indoors!)

This is where the Horse Theory Course for Kids comes in.

Students enrolled in this fantastic program can indulge their passion for horses and immerse themselves (quietly, from the comfort of their own bedroom) in hours and hours of learning.

Students develop an understanding that caring for a big animal with specialised needs is a HUGE commitment and that there are plenty of things that need to be learned before someone is ready for a horse or pony of their own.

What our students say:

Over the past 6+ years Nicole has taken my daughter from a 7-year-old just beginning her horse journey, through to a confident teenager who has the skills and knowledge to safely care for, ride and cherish her own pony.

– Nicole Adams (parent)

I took the Horse Theory Course for Kids when I was 13 years old. Like most kids, I had a passion for horses however did not know where to start.

The information from this course has been very useful in the day-to-day working of horses. I have used it in all of my jobs, from stable hand to instructing at a riding school.

- Natasha Mitchell (student)

Kids Horse Theory Course CoachNicole Tassone

Nicole's passion for horses began when she was just 9 years old.

She was THAT horse-mad kid; riding the broom around the house and neighing in the schoolyard.

Nicole has trained hundreds of horses across her career, including mounts for Riding for the Disabled and Victoria Police's Mounted Branch.

Nicole has appeared on national Australian television, speaking as an expert horse trainer.

Nicole has coached hundreds of riders since 2008, guiding them from beginners to the highest grading and awards.

Several of Nicole's junior students have gone on to undertake professional qualifications and careers in the equestrian industry.
